In a very real sense, all taxpaying Americans work for the government, like it or not. This year on average they will do so until April 23 -- known as "Tax Freedom Day" -- to pay what federal, state and local institutions claim from their labors.
That's 30.8 percent of Americans' income -- more than what they'll spend in 2008 on food, clothing and housing combined, according to the nonpartisan Tax Foundation.
If it's any consolation, this year's pay-up day is three days earlier than in 2007. That's a pretty small consolation, mind you.
Americans pay an intolerable price for misguided mandates without a constitutional warrant, for unsustainable entitlements and sundry wealth-shifting schemes -- and for the pork proclivities of "representatives" who represent and reward only their own self-serving interests.
Meanwhile, as the April 15 tax deadline draws near, Americans are supposed to take heart in glad tidings from the Internal Revenue Service. Why, the average tax refund this year is $2,708. Sorry, but that's money owed to taxpayers -- in all, more than $106 billion to date -- which has been lent, interest-free, to the government.
And this, because of an overly convoluted tax code that even the most well-educated can't decipher.
So long as Americans surrender all this and more to their government without challenge, the greed that infests government will continually demand more.

Alan Keyes to join the Constitution Party on Tax Day

With the recent party-switching of Mike Gravel and Bob Barr—it’s starting to look like a minor exodus of former officials from the major parties. I certainly hope so. Add Keyes’ name to the list, officially.
Im recieving trustable info from D.C. that Keyes will indeed be bolting the GOP to join the CP—and on Tax Day no less. As an added effect, Keyes will be announcing this at an event in Hazelton, PA which had a recent illegal immigration issue.
So look for April 15th to be the day, in Hazelton, PA.

Keyes hedges towards CP

Rumors of Keyes’ entry into the Constitution Party presidential nomination abound. Meanwhile, he has added the Constitution Party’s National Convention to his calendar of events on his front page.
One wonders who his Vice Presidential pick would be. While we will all be hoping Moore—I doubt Moore would accept a VP spot behind a candidate he’d likely beat in a nomination race. I suspect another longtime friend and member of the party.

Take back America
Ladies and Gentlemen, there will be a rally in Washington D.C. on April 15th 2008 on the front lawn of the Capitol.
Please lets join together to show our Congress that we will not tolerate their abuse of power any longer. Please send this to everyone you have contact with and post it on your websites and meet ups.
We can Car pool down and back.
Sacrifice is necessary to preserve our freedom and the freedom of our posterity.
Too many of our people are in jail for reasons in which the Government has no authority to do,
such as the following;
Unlawful acts passed by them restricting our right to keep our labor (money recieved for it)
Unlawful acts passed by them infringing upon our right to keep and bear Arms.
Infringement upon the right of our Churches and Religious beliefs.
Infringements upon our right to educate our Children in our way, not theirs.
Taking our children from us by unlawful acts, claiming the unlawful act of in loco parentis.
Infringing on our right to develop our property as we see fit without government regulation and restrictions.
Sending swarms of their pretended Agents to harrass and intimidate us.
Stealing our property by unlawful eminent domain proceedings.
Refusing to impeach and prosecute Judges and other corupt Government officers in all three Branches of Government.
Authorizing and promoting Democracy and one world government in direct violation of Article 4 Section 4 of our U.S. Constitution.
Taxing us as individuals in direct violation of Article 1, Section 9 Clause 4, of the U.S. Constitution and the 5th and 9th Amendment.
Abrogating their duty to provide sound money consistent with Article 1, Section 10, Clause 1, and neglecting their duty to coin money and fix the standard of weights and measures.
For allowing and even facilitating the unlawful exercise of powers not granted to the President of the United States by Executive Orders.
These and many more encroachments and abuses of their delegated powers.
UNITED we will stand...and so will the America we love.

Allegheny County Meeting
The Constitution Party of Allegheny County will be meeting Tuesday March 18th at the Panera Bread on Mcnight rd. The meeting will run from 7p-9p. Come and hear about the report on the state convention and the upcoming national convention on April 23-27.
