May 2012 Newsletter

A Word from the Vice Chairman of the Constitution Party of PA…
Robert Nulton
.
The Constitution Party held its National Convention in Nashville, Tennessee on April 18-21, 2012. Many important events transpired at the National Convention. One important event that took place was that of the Nomination of the Constitution Party Candidate for President and Vice President of the United States. 2012 marks a very important and significant year for our country. There may never be an important election like this ever again. So, that is why we must unify ourselves under one candidate who can and will get the job done.
The candidates that presented themselves in order to be the Constitution Party Nominee for President of the United States were Former U.S. Congressman Virgil Goode, Former College Coach Robby Wells, 2008 Vice Presidential Candidate Darrell Castle, Susan Ducey and Radio Show Host Laurie Roth. It was a close race for the nomination. A total of 403 delegate votes were available to be cast at the Convention. A majority of 202 delegate votes were needed to clinch a win to be the eventual nominee.

The results were as follows: Virgil Goode – 203 Delegate Votes, Darrell Castle – 120 Delegate Votes, Robby Wells – 58 Delegate Votes, Susan Ducey – 15 Delegate Votes, and Laurie Roth – 6 Delegate Votes. Virgil Goode won the nomination by two delegate votes. It was one of the most exciting nomination races that the Constitution Party has ever seen. This nomination process proved that 2012 really is going to be an important year for our nation and every citizen within its boundaries.
Later on during the Convention, Virgil Goode asked the Delegates to the National Convention to accept Jim Clymer, former National Chairman of the Constitution Party, to be his running mate in the November General Election. Constitution Party Founder, Howard Phillips, moved to accept Jim Clymer as the Constitution Party Vice Presidential Candidate. The majority accepted and the Goode/Clymer Presidential Ticket was Approved.
It was a very exciting moment as cheers filled the Convention Hall. It was now clear that the Constitution Party now had a viable ticket to combat the Democratic and Republican Establishments which have consistently proven that America needs to be taken back down the path of true 100% constitutionality or this country will fall. The best way to get more information on their platform and how they intend to “Get America Back on Track” is to visit their website at www.goodeforpresident2012.com and you will definitely see a clear difference between all three candidates vying for the privilege to serve the people as President of the United States.
I would encourage every citizen to take a true look to see which candidate truly represents your views, ideals, and beliefs and which one has the real plan to “Get America Back on Track!” Now is the time for action. So let’s act and vote the best candidate into office this November for a better America and a better future for our children.
Also as an informative note, Jim Clymer stepped down as the Constitution Party National Chairman after 12 hard working years of dedicated service. Elections were held at the end of the Convention at a National Executive Committee Meeting in which Frank Fluckiger, from Utah, was elected to serve a four year term as the Constitution Party National Chairman. Randall Stufflebeam, from Illinois, was elected to serve as the Constitution Party National Vice Chairman. They are both full of excitement and ready to help build the party in all 50 States. Ballot Access is one very important topic of discussion in which we have one state which has achieved 100% true ballot access by being accepted by the State as a Major Party. We are on our way to showing the country that “Yes WE Can!”
In Pennsylvania, we are in desperate need to obtain 30,000+ signatures to get our candidates on the ballot this year. If you or anyone you know is interested in helping with obtaining signatures or are interested in learning more about the Constitution Party please contact Donna Fike at secretary@constitutionpartypa.com.
